We here at Rossonian are giving a new name to us “kids,” and all the other people born in the early half of the millennial generation. We’re calling these tech babies, the “Late Kids,” which just so happens to be the name of our newest EP. These “Late Kids” are those who have grown up alongside the Internet, born with a cell phone in our hands, and mastered Nintendo 64 from the first star acquired in Super Mario 64. We’re the first generation of its kind to have been raised with content and information seemingly shoved into our every orifice from all directions. Needless to say, us “Late Kids” are well aware of our worldly insignificance but have simultaneously been told by mommy and daddy that we’re someone so very, very special. We know that we’re but one mere grain of sand in the increasingly flooding beach of Denver music, but we truly believe this record is something special. And so do our mothers.

So in honor of all this, we’ve decided to hold a rooftop extravaganza in celebration of the new, “Late Kids” record. We’ll be shutting down 27th street between Larimer and Walnut as we play atop the Knew Conscious Gallery at 2700 Walnut. We’ve also called on some of our favorite local electronic music steamrollers such as Church Fire and Joseph Lamar (one more act is TBA) to join us. There will be performances on the roof as well as inside the gallery throughout the evening.

The show’s free, and we’ll have plenty of “refreshments” available for donation. While the record will remain unreleased, it will be exclusively available at the show for purchase in CD and download format. This show is an opportunity for Denverites to get the music first before it is released into the world.

WHO: Rossonian, Joseph Lamar, Church Fire, TBA
WHAT: Rooftop Celebration of Rossonian’s Super Special New Record “Late Kids”
WHERE: Knew Conscious Gallery 2700 Walnut Street Denver, CO
WHEN: 7.18.2015
HOW (MUCH): FREE! Refreshments will be available with donation

Thank you for continuing to support art, apparel and local creativity at MegaFauna.

Final Friday Music Walk & Urban Bazaar May 29

Final Friday Music Walk & Urban Bazaar kicks off it’s fourth year of community collaborations with a district-wide event in the up-and-coming RiNo Art District on May 29th 4pm – 10pm outdoor, 10pm+ indoor.

Final Friday is a conscious collaboration of community resources that occurs on the last Friday of the month(s); May through August. Participating businesses, community arenas, and a variety of venues open their doors to musicians, bands, and performers to emphasize the real love of Denver – MUSIC and COMMUNITY. On Final Friday the River North Art District is transformed into an open sourced marketplace atmosphere offering local food, goods, and live music. This free-flowing format allows community members to create a raw level of exchange, and allows consumers to interact directly with the local resources of entertainment, goods and services.

This music and arts festival provides attendees with an intimate opportunity to enjoy activations starting around North Walnut and Blake streets and throughout the River North Art District, Denver Colorado. Each Final Friday hosts up to 25 bands on three main outdoor stages, and includes dozens of participating neighborhood venues, who individually host performances within their own establishments – all in one evening of programming. Each venue/stage will boast exciting and relevant local talent with genres ranging from Alternative, Punk and Rock to Hip Hop, Electronic and many fusion sounds. These venues are amongst the neighborhood’s existing art galleries, bars, design shops, retail, restaurants and offices.

2015 Final Friday Music Walk & Urban Bazaar going District Wide in RiNo!

Friday May 29, District Wide in the River North Art District

Final Friday kicks off it’s third Summer series offering the best cultural collaboration in the City of Denver. Live Music, Live and Local Art, Street Vendors and Open house across the entire River North Art District.

Get involved and get in the know with the information below;

It’s that time again to begin the outreach campaign for the neighborhood-wide, open sourced music and art Summer series, Final Friday. We are going into our third year activating this cultural cocktail of live local music, urban bazaar and neighborhood open house and promotion for the entire River North Art District. Recently Final Friday was accepted by the RiNo Art District as an official cross-promotion partner bringing together the people from community and commerce to our rapidly evolving neighborhood.

What are you doing for Final Friday?

If you are an area business, we are encouraging all commercial entities (AND Residents!) to open their doors on the last Friday of the month from May – August for this consciously curated and community focused event. As a neighborhood wide event you can think of Final Friday as a unique blend of First Friday meets Underground Music Showcase meets Denver Flea.

With up to 5,000 people visiting each Final Friday, from all over the Front Range, we have a unique opportunity to show Colorado and the entire Rocky Mountain West what a rich creative and cultural community is thriving in the fastest growing neighborhood in Colorado.

Many participating businesses such as Erico Motorsports, MegaFauna, Walnut Room, Tracks, Beryl’s Beer Company, Smirk, Stem Ciders, are actively promoting music acts for their respective spaces. Other art galleries, wineries, design houses and bars & restaurants will be opening their doors to art activations, live art projects and other activations.

We are building our list of venues for the Final Friday website and beginning promotions which will be displayed throughout the metro on over 40 wide screen digital displays throughout Denver Arts & Venues, City of Denver and the Denver Theater District. In addition to the tens of thousands of fliers, hundreds of posters and other static media; Final Friday is home to dozens of bands & artists who will be performing, vending and hosting events and capitalize on the natural sense of community and collaboration.

If you are in need of a band or artist to show work, please call. We want you to be involved and help continue to build the strong community alliance that made the River North Art District the strong and thriving neighborhood it is today.

If you are a band or performing artist who wants to show your work, please call. This event is programmed specifically to support the creatively, rich talent located in Colorado.

As always we are continuously looking for sponsors, partners and collaborators to join in this amazing event. I have included the general one-pager with press release information and Final Friday design elements for you to use in your Final Friday announcements. I have also included a sponsor packet for anyone interested in participating directly in this business growth promotional opportunity.

We have leveraged the immense network of creativity in Colorado to bring you a very unique and inspiring event that will soon take over the entire city with your participation.

Questions and considerations for Final Friday should be directed to me, John McCaskill, owner at MegaFauna and Final Friday located at 3102 Blake Street. Contact information below

Thank you for your time and consideration in helping us help you continue to grow your business & community and provide a reason to celebrate this Spring and Summer season of the official Final Friday Music Walk & Urban Bazaar.
Best regards and see you around the block,
John McCaskill
